What Is Lorehammer?
Lorehammer is your deep-dive archive into the complex, rich, and often brutal narrative universes of Warhammer. Whether you're fascinated by the galaxy-spanning wars of Warhammer 40K or the god-forged mythologies of Age of Sigmar, this is where stories unfold, empires fall, and legends are made.
Within these pages, you’ll explore timelines spanning tens of thousands of years, the rise and fall of gods and empires, and the unrelenting struggle between order and chaos. Here, every miniature tells a story — and every battle echoes through eternity.
Warhammer 40,000: The Grimdark Future
There is no peace among the stars. In the 41st millennium, humanity has spread across the galaxy, building a vast Imperium forged through conquest, war, and sacrifice. But this empire is decaying — threatened from within by corruption and rebellion, and from without by aliens, daemons, and forgotten horrors.
The Emperor of Mankind, a psychic god-king, lies broken on the Golden Throne, kept alive only by ancient machinery. His Imperium is led by the fanatical Adeptus Terra, worshiping him as a divine being. In his absence, wars erupt across thousands of worlds.
The galaxy is riven by warp storms, daemonic incursions, and civil wars. The Horus Heresy — a galaxy-wide civil war between the Emperor and his traitorous sons — shattered the dream of unity forever. Now, the Imperium Nihilus lies severed by the Great Rift, and the Indomitus Crusade is humanity’s last hope to reclaim its dying empire.
Age of Sigmar: Realms of Myth and War
After the destruction of the Old World, reality was reborn as the Mortal Realms — vast dimensions shaped by magic, gods, and war. Here, the forces of Order, Chaos, Death, and Destruction battle endlessly to control the Realms of Life, Fire, Death, Beasts, and more.
At the center of the storm stands Sigmar, the celestial God-King, who forged the Stormcast Eternals from mortal souls and clad them in enchanted armor. These immortal warriors are hurled into battle to reclaim the realms from the horrors unleashed by Chaos.
Yet even Sigmar cannot stand alone. Death stirs in the underworlds, and the undead legions of Nagash rise to claim all souls. Meanwhile, the Orruks, Gloomspite Gitz, and monstrous beasts of Destruction leave ruin in their wake. And the ever-scheming Skaven gnaw at the roots of reality itself.
